Les Peterkin has had a varied career, first as a teacher involved in Physical Education and the National Fitness organisation in N.S.W. He is an active musician, bagpipe player and artist, his pottery and ceramics have been highly acclaimed. He is currently Artist in Residence at Lindisfarne College on the Gold Coast and is expanding his artistic fields, moving into stained glass, painting and silver smithing. He also is the accompanist for local singing and dance groups including the 'Golden Girls', who perform around the Gold Coast and Tweed region.
