- Miniature terrestrial globe with a folding hand-coloured engraving of the peoples of the world in their native costumes with titles in English, French and German. Attributed to a member of the Bauer family of whom three were Nuremberg mapmakers active from the late 18th century through 1857. Australia is shown as New Holland and Tasmania is drawn as an island.
- Title taken from box lid.
- Accompanied by a hand coloured fold-out affixed to bottom of the box, showing male costumes of 32 national or ethnic groups around the world.
