In this interview, Jack Dealy talks about his parents; their farm near Shepparton (Vic.); his childhood and teenage years on the farm; his early interest in professional wrestling; the nature of his work on the farm; his high level of fitness, boxing prowess, sporting abilities; his sister and brothers; moving to Melbourne around 1938; working in a steel factory in Brunswick (Melbourne) with one of his brothers; his decision to apply for a job in the Victoria Police Force around 1939/40; experiences as a policeman in Melbourne and later Dandenong during the 1940s; his skill as a wrestler; his success as Victoria Police Light-Heavyweight champion; amateur and professional wrestlers he met or wrestled; moving back to the farm due to the ill health of his brother; returning to Melbourne four years later but being unable to rejoin police; taking on various jobs and his proximity to the underworld of Melbourne; his memories of mobsters in Melbourne; an anecdote about US serviceman and murderer Edward Joseph Leonski.
