Summary

This is the website of the Murray Catchment Management Authority. The MCMA was established as a key part of the Native Vegetation Reform carried out in NSW in 2003. The CMA will engage regional communities in the key natural resources issues facing the catchment. This includes preparing a Catchment Action Plan (CAP) and investment strategies that integrate and build on the Catchment Blueprints and regional vegetation management plans, managing incentive programs and funding to implement the CAP, providing education, information and training on natural resource management, especially vegetation management, developing transparent procedures for handling local disputes related to implementing the CAPs. The website contains news, publications and information about the Murray Catchment. It includes reports, the Murray Catchment Blueprint, maps, fact sheets and links to websites of other associated Catchment Management Authorities and government agencies in New South Wales.
