Creed Lovegrove, born Adelaide, 1927. Lovegrove speaks about his family background and education. In 1947, he joined the Northern Territory Administration, later becoming a patrol officer with the Native Affairs Branch. In 1973, he was appointed as Director, Northern Territory Division, Department of Aboriginal Affairs. Lovegrove outlines the circumstances surrounding one case of child removal in 1951. He also describes the living conditions at St. Mary's Anglican Hostel, Alice Springs; Retta Dixon Home, Darwin; the Garden Point Catholic Mission; and the Croker Island Methodist Mission. He expresses his views on the Bringing Them Home Report and the policy of removal.
