Biography/History

Alick Tipoti was born in 1975 on Thursday Island. He grew up on Badu Island and speaks the Kala Lagaw Ya and Kala Kagaw Ya dialects of the Western Islands Language. He is a professional artist and teaches art at TAFE on Thursday Island. He also writes songs in the local languages.
