MS Acc07.014 comprises correspondence from and to Romola Templeman. The correspondence is arranged in broad categories including early days, personal, art school, and by subject and correspondents. Also included are papers relating to Templeman's painting career including catalogues, exhibitions, painting sales and prices, cuttings, reviews, notebooks recording expenses and commission/sales, and scrapbooks created by Templeman at various times in her life (10 boxes, 1 fol. box).
- Biography/History:

Artist. Romola Templeman, daughter of architect Marshall W.G. Clifton, was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1935. Templeman studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and held her first solo exhibition at the Skinner Galleries in Perth in 1959. She has travelled extensively in Europe and has lived, worked and exhibited in England, Sydney and Perth. Her work is represented in private and public collections, including those of Parliament House, Canberra and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Templeman has won the Claude Hotchin Prize and, in 1960, the Helena Rubinstein Portrait Prize. She has undertaken major portrait commissions both in Australia and overseas. Templeman is former director and art consultant of Molongolo Press.
