Summary

Gordon discusses her dance company in Canberra, the choreographic process, her productions including Shed, The Coast, Paper City, Party, Party, Party, Aves and Raising the Standard, her new work about migrant cleaning ladies. She talks about dance funding in the ACT, the importance of the production process and attracting dancers to Canberra. She goes on to discuss her mentors, the quality of Australian works, her family background, callisthenics training, learning ballet from Kira Bousloff, her work with Meryl Tankard including the works Nuti, Kikimora and Pile Up, Meryl Tankard's working process and how she came to leave the Meryl Tankard Company. She also speaks about auditioning dancers and casting works, her new appointment to Buzz Dance Theatre and her aspirations for the future.
