- On reverse is a letter addressed to F.F. Fielding, London, with postal cancellations, descriptions of the features numbered on the painting, and H.W. Reveley's signature. The water-mill, built by the artist in 1833, was the first in Perth, and later became the site of the Perth Technical College.
