Folkloric recording. Carolynne Burns talks about her arrival in Australia, her beginnings as a singer in England, her work in Perth; her recordings, how she met Ted; her marriage breakup. Edward (Ted) Burns talks about his schooling; early music influences; his years at boarding school, playing drums in cadet band; his time in R.A.A.F.; his 'garage' band; his marriage and divorce; the move to Darwin; his involvement in Folk Club; personnel in Darwin Folkclub (1969); how he became interested in folk music, playing guitar, Celtic influences; being employed in Law Courts, transcription equipment, early 1970's; making their first album; Top Half Folk Federation; Cyclone Tracey, destruction of buildings; his experiences post Tracey; band work; working in Judge Associate job; meeting Carolynne and their marriage; the move to Queensland; singing as a duo, then joining 'Mangrove Jack' band; Cairns Folk Club; Cairns venues; performing at Top Half Folk Festivals; buying a house in Cairns, purchasing land at Babinda, building of dwelling; his career before moving into Consumer Protection; working together, setting up an independent business in this field; partnership arrangement; Ted Egan's role in Folk Federation, N.T. Administration; Tom Pauling. They sum up their present life and desires.
