John Ervine speaks about his years as a mental health nurse; the condition and treatment of patients; his interest in theatre whilst at Bloomfield Hospital and the formation of the Bloomfield Theatre Company.
- Biography/History:

John Ervine was born in Ireland in 1930. He worked as a weaver before coming to Australia (1950) to follow his trade. Moving to Orange, N.S.W. (1951) he gained employment at the local woollen mill before getting a job as a psychiatric nurse at Bloomfield Hospital (also known as the Orange Mental Hospital)
