Notes

Title from caption on verso.

"The annual Harts Range race meeting in sparsely populated central Australia is a race meeting to end all meetings, a place where anything can happen - and usually does - during an action-packed three day spree that has become a highlight of the central Australian sporting and social calaendar ... The fact that the track is offically described by the Harts Range Amateur Race Club as being 'seven furlongs and a bit' does not seem to worry anyone. Australian Information Service photograph by Michael Jensen, P71/1063 ; 4/11/71/29" --printed on verso.
