Summary

Poster of artwork of a tree in rolling paddocks dotted with other trees that have cans of beer hanging from it. Underneath the tree are a koala, kangaroo and a sheep who all appear to have drunk too much and have collapsed asleep on the ground. Six opened beer cans are lying amongst them and a barbed-wire fence is in the foreground. In the sky an orange sun is depicted on the left of the tree with a banner going across the top of the poster saying Advance Mambo with the registered trademark symbol shown. Another banner at the bottom of the poster says Australian beer tree.

Biography/History

Mambo Graphics, or simply Mambo, is an Australian surfwear company, established in 1984. It is best known for producing graphic designs with strong political, religious or humorous themes. Mambo was launched in 1984 as a T-shirt screen printing business within their screen printing factory "Phantom Screen printing". The Mental as Anything band member Reg Mombassa is famous for his Mambo designs.
