- Facsimile of a "fair drawing" chart compiled by Matthew Flinders following his circumnavigation of Australia, which is dated 1804. The original is a manuscript chart that resides in the archives of the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office, Taunton, Somerset. The chart was completed by Matthew Flinders in 1804, while he was a prisoner in Mauritius, following the termination in the previous year of his Australian survey. It shows voyage tracks, direction and strength of winds. The chart contains the first known use by Flinders or any other navigator of the name "Australia" for the island continent as we know it today. A revised chart, with the names reversed to "Australia" and "Terra Australis", was published in 1814.
- Chart shows soundings, other navigational information, meteorological information, and tracks of the Investigator, Cumberland and Porpoise, with appropriate dates.
- Monochrome print from the United Kingdom Hydrographical Office.
- Inset map shows Terra Australis as known before the year 1798.
- "The original charts are constructed upon a scale of four inches to a degree of longitude from which this abridgement was made whilst a prisoner at the isle Mauritius ... 1804."
