Summary

Album of 649 photographs, possibly compiled by Roy Vyse as a record of at least two tours to central Australia. Photographs taken by the compiler and his touring party have been supplemented with photographs by Charles Mountford, Arthur Groom and other sources. Includes photographs of landmarks, plants, scenery, livestock, other animals and townships in central Australia as well as photographs of Aboriginals, the missions at Ernabella and Hermannsburg and other touring parties. The accompanying leaves include a newspaper clipping from the Centralian Advocate and handwritten notes that identify some people and events in the photographs contained in the album.
