Summary

An account of anti-opiates operations by the Tatmadaw and anti-narcotics activities under the Revolutionary Council (1962-74) and Burma Socialist Programme Party (1974-88). Includes sections on the Aung Kyaw Moe Operation and Moe Hein Operation, in which the author was personally involved, as well as shorter accounts of the Ngayepan and Taungyanshin Operations. Examines the alleged role of the Burma Communist Party and Kuomintang in opium production and transportation, and recoounts the surrender of the Mong Tai Army (Khun Sa).
