Summary

The first in a series of guidebooks on criminal justice for functionaries in Burma's post-1972 people's justice system. Contains sections on the responsibilities of justice committees at various levels of government, on the duties of committee secretaries, on the authority of district and township people's courts, and on criminal justice and jurisprudence. Also contains forewords by Minister of Justice Dr. Maung Maung (former chief justice), and extracts from newly introduced laws, and orders, announcements and clarifications from the justice ministry.
