- Summary:

A collection of medallions housed in a cardboard box, commemorating the 1988 Australian Bicentenary. Includes the Official Greater Cincinnati Bicentennial Commemorative bronze medal with accompanying pamphlet and wooden stand. The Tall Ships Australia 1988 silver medallion, housed in a blue case with inscription below medallion: "Presented by Director Tall Ships Australia Day January 1988". Also includes, a replica of the astrolabe found in the wreck of the ship 'Batavia'. This gift was received in a green case, from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs to those people in Australia and in the Netherlands who have contributed to the success of the Netherlands involvement in the Australian Bicentenary--Information from accompanying pamphlets and letter.
