Summary

The papers include lecture and journal article typescripts by Bunning, 1945-1972; papers relating to the Sydney Opera House, 1958-1967; correspondence, 1944-1976; certificates, 1929-1975; papers relating to his appointment as Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George, 1975; newspaper cuttings and cuttings books and photographs.

Biography/History Architect and town planner. Chairman of the NSW Town and Country Planning Advisory Committee, 1945-1964. In 1961 Bunning was appointed principal architect for the National Library. Other buildings designed by him include the award winning ANZAC House and Liner House in Sydney. Bunning was awarded the CMG in 1975.
