- Library's A set lacks volume 2; vol. 1 rebound and presented to the Library by Mrs E.A. Weber of 'Roxton', 95 Lurline St., Katoomba from the estate of the late Charles F. Weber of in 1974; presentation copy inscibed "To EA from the author" and "Presented by the explorer ..." (not in Mawson's hand).
- Library's SR 831 and SR 832 copy was donated by Alan Lane and is inscribed by the author to George Handley Knibbs, July 1915; and by Knibbs' daughter V. E. J. Colebatch to Alan Gordon Lane, 11-9-50. Volume I contains tipped-in letters of thanks and appreciation from Shackleton (Christchurch, 30 December 1907) and Mawson (Adelie Land, November 1913) and a loosely inserted poem entitled “In Antarctica” by G.H. Knibbs, 20 January 1910 and a German postcard photo portrait of G.H Knibbs.
