| Biography/History |
Nurse. Jeannie Keith Roberta Mittelheuser (nee Herd) studied nursing at the Brisbane General Hospital from 1915 to 1919 and obstetrics at the Lady Bowen Hospital in Brisbane before joining the Australian Inland Mission as sister-in-charge of the Bush Hospital at Marranboy, Northern Territory. She returned to Brisbane in 1922, trained in Infant Welfare, and nursed in Ipswich and Bundaberg.
