Summary

1. Log, 15 June to 31 August 1804, kept by midshipman G. Wilson of H.M.S. Victory, under Captain Francis Scott while in dock at Portsmouth. 2. Log, 1864 Sept 1 to 1868 December 25, kept by midship man G. Wilson of H.M.S. Brisk, under Captain Charles W. Hope. The logs give mainly nautical information such as bearings and details of daily routineduring the voyage from England to Fremantle and during subsequent voyages between Sydney, New Zealand and Fiji. The Brisk spent long periods in New Zealand waters. Charts and sketches are included in the log including a drawing of the N.Z. residence of Sir George Grey.
