Folkloric recording. Vivienne Sawyer is a lifelong resident of the Illawarra region of N.S.W., born into a family of miners and steelworkers with a strong union background. She talks about her childhood; the early days, cooking and ironing methods; home remedies; her mother, Vina Oehm; Zig Zag railway; bath time; food deliveries; her schooling. She recites poetry and talks about yarn telling techniques.
