In 1992, Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission launched its Different Colours One People campaign to provide a focus for schools and community groups to show ways of working together to make their communities better places. Nedim Handzic, a 10-year-old Aborigine child, created the poster, Learning Together.

Notes

Caption title.

"The two hands of different colour symbolise unity and tolerance between racial groups. I included the Aboriginal flag because I felt that they are discriminated against in our society, and it is important to fight such problems of discrimination in Australia -- Nedim Handzic, year 10, International Grammar School, Sydney".
