- Summary:
-
Colour lithographic poster advertising a stamp and stamp pack issued to commemorate the centenary of International Women’s Day (IWD) which was first held in March 1911. This global day celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future and is an indelible channel through which to promote positive change and raise awareness of the issues women face in their everyday lives. Across the centre of the poster is an image of the sixty cent stamp which bears images of the eyes area of three women’s faces and the symbol for women. Below this are images of the stamp pack, all set on a background which varies from yellow at the top of the poster to green at the bottom.
