The slipcase cloth is Desert pattern MARPAT (short for MARine PATtern), a digital camouflage pattern designed for the United States Marine Corps. It is the artist's intention that the fabric of the slip case will wear, abrade and discolour as do the uniforms of US Marine Corps.
