Summary

The former and current Australian ambassadors to China are interviewed to mark the 40th anniversary (1972-2012) of diplomatic relations between China and Australia. Although the focus of the interviews will be about the diplomatic experiences and perspectives of the Ambassadors, the interviews will also take a whole-of life approach. Included will be memories of the interviewees formative years, reflections on their working lives, achievements, contemporaries and some consideration of the ideas, values and beliefs which have been influential in their lives.
