This oral history collection was created as a key outcome of Associate Professor Nathalie Huynh Chau Nguyen’s Australian Research Council Future Fellowship project on Forgotten Histories: Vietnamese veterans in Australia (2011-2015). The collection contains the oral histories of veterans of the former Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces (RVNAF). Two generations of service personnel as well as all branches of the RVNAF are represented: the Army, Air Force, Navy, Rangers, Marines, Airborne Division, Regional and Popular Forces, and the Women’s Armed Forces Corps. Veterans originate from southern and central Vietnam as well as northern Vietnam.
