She discusses her early dance training with Bronislava Nijinska, Mia Slavenska, Tatiana Riabouchinska and David Lichine; performing with the San Francisco Opera Ballet, Southern Californian Youth Ballet and the Chicago Ballet; early choreographic influences; and dancing with the Monte Carlo Russian Ballet. She talks about Alvin Ailey; Lester Horton; Agnes de Mille; the New York City Ballet; taking class with Martha Graham; attending the University of California; Ann Roberts; establishing the Kathryn Lowe School of Dance and the Kathryn Lowe Dance Ensemble in California. |
