MS Acc13.053 comprises letters written by Thomas Craike Rentoul describing his experiences as Methodist Chaplain Captain with the A.I.F. in World War I to his girlfriend Ivy Victoria Comben (later Rentoul). The letters cover his experiences on a troopship, time in Egypt, England and France and his return to Australia through Cape Town, 1916-1917. Additional letters from a holiday undertaken in 1931 are included, as is a photograph of Queen's College in 1910, a photograph of military clergy from approximately 1916 and a commemmoration scroll for military service during 1939-1945 (1 box, 1 folio packet).
