Professor Tony Basten, is the Director, Centenary Institute of Cancer Medicine and Cell Biology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, N.S.W. and former Chairperson, AIDS Task Force and Chief Commonwealth Medical and Scientific Advisor on AIDS, 1988-89.
