World War I recruiting poster. Shows an army despatch rider, mounted on a Douglas motorcycle, calling for reinforcements and pointing at the remains of burnt-out buildings with his right arm. He has a blood stained bandage on his head. The artist's signature appears on the right beneath the motorcycle. "Issued by the South Australian Government." appears lower left. "A. Vaughan. Government Photolithographer. Adelaide" appears lower right.
