Jensen, former Lord Mayor of Sydney, speaks about his family background; childhood in Daceyville, New South Wales; school; becoming an electrician; joining the Electrical Trades Union Advancement Group; ALP Industrial Groups and the Movement;leaving the Electrical Trades Union; Alderman of Randwick Council; Councillor, and later Mayor of Sydney County Council; anti-Industrial Group activities; running for the seat of Benelong in Legislative Assembly; winning the seat of Wyong; the Australian political system; Neville Wran; protectionism; reviews his life and achievements.
