- Terrestrial pocket globe of the world. Relief shown pictorially.
- Australia is shown as New Holland and Tasmania is shown as Dimens Land. Swan R. Settlement, Sydney (shown as Sidney), N. South Wales and de Wits Land are also shown.
- "Enderby's Land" with the date of 1833 is shown in the area of Antarctica.
- Shows voyages of Cook, Anson, King and Ross.
- The place of Captain Cook's death is marked on the globe near Owhywee/Sandwich Islands "Here C. Cook was killed 14 Feby. 1779".
- Cartouche title.
- 12 copper engraved, handcoloured gores and 2 polar calottes mounted on plaster-covered, papier mache sphere. Two metal pivots at the poles.
- In original shagreen spherical case; closes with three hook-and-eye metal clasps. The interior of the case is lined with 12 copper engraved, handcoloured celestial gores.
