Events and activities [were] held across Australia during 2002 Year of the Outback, showcasing the knowledge, culture and passion of the outback along with its traditional hospitality to international and domestic visitors--Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development website, viewed 26 October, 2015. West of the great Dividing Range to most of Western Australia is outback.
