Summary

A unique paper sculpture artist book based on the poem, Reedy River, by Henry Lawson. The eight verses are written in varying calligraphy techniques with gouache and sumi. Each double spread has colourful text on the recto (including more legible renderings of the highly stylised calligraphy, which suggests the flow of the river from an aerial perspective). On the verso, the text is faced with intricate pure white paper cut sculpture panels, which depict the homestead, the environment and the story of the poem.
