Eileen Kramer, former dancer & choreographer, begins this interview by talking about her family life and education and about her first dance experiences with Getrud Bodenwieser. She goes on to discuss her career as a dancer with the Bodenwieser Ballet in Australia. She talks about her colleagues in the company, inlcuding Emmy Taussig and Evelyn Ippen, and about some of the works in which she appeared, including Blue Danube Waltz, Demon Machine, The Wheel of Life and the work created for Kramer by Bodenwieser, Indian Love Song. She gives her recollections of Bodenwieser as a person and as a teacher and talks about the various company tours in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Kramer then discusses the time she spent living and working in India after leaving the Bodenwieser company. She concludes by speaking about her life in the United States in particular her current work with the Trillium Performing Arts Collective in Lewisburg, West Virginia.
