Summary

Lorraine McGee-Sippel, born 1943, Crown St. Hospital, Sydney. McGee-Sippel was separated from her mother shortly after birth and adopted by a non-Indigenous family. She describes her life with her adoptive family. At the age of 12, she went to live with an aunt and uncle due to her adoptive mother's ill health. McGee-Sippel outlines her efforts to trace her birth family through Adoption Triangle. She also discusses her reunion with her birth mother and siblings, learning for the first time about her Aboriginal ancestry.
