Kaspar is one of seven posters commissioned by Nimrod Theatre that were reissued as a set in 1982 to commemorate their 10th birthday, in a new second edition of 1000. Both editions were screenprinted in colour from three stencils by McGregor's. In the second edition the printmakers prepared new stencils and printed the works higher quality paper than the original print run. The first version has text offset printed on the verso. The second version is printed on a larger 66.2 x 47.0 cm sheet and is signed, numbered and dated in the margin beneath the 59 x 45 cm image. Sharp created sets and costumes for a number of Nimrod productions as well as the posters for which he is better known. Based on Information from Ric Davidson, Nimrod staff 1982-84. 8 September 2009."--Prints and Printmaking site, 11/1/11, and Art Gallery of NSW collection listing.
