Fisher speaks about his pregnant grandmother of the Waanyi people and his aunty who were removed from their family at Bourketown Mission, Qld. and sent to Nerang (Lutheran) Mission in 1907. His grandmother and his mother were sent to Cherbourg in 1919. Fisher was raised at Cherbourg by his grandmother from ages 3-17. After being educated to 4th grade, his first job was working as an office boy for the police at Cherbourg. His wages until 1955 were sent to Cherbourg Mission but were never paid to him, and he speaks of anomalies in the trust account maintained by the Mission. He is currently an Aboriginal Liaison Officer for the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commission.
