Summary

The collection comprises handwritten drafts, typescripts and cuttings of Grover's memoirs (Hold page one), short stories and articles, as well as miscellaneous cuttings, cutting books and photographs. It also includes the papers of his parents, Jessie and Harry Ehret Grover.

Biography/History Journalist. Montague Grover worked for the Argus, the Star (later the Sun), the Herald and the World (the Sydney Labour daily). He published numerous short stories, articles, poems and plays in journals including the Bulletin and Lone Hand. His memoir, 'Hold page one', was published posthumously in 1993 by his grandson, Michael Cannon.
