Summary

MS 9518 comprises Mabo litigation records emanating from both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. The records comprise a statement of facts by the plaintiffs, wills, land transactions, court transcripts, exhibits, pleadings, applications, witness statements, submissions, correspondence, memoranda and research material. Keon-Cohen, with the assistance of an archivist engaged at the Library's expense, arranged the items into volumes in broad chronological order. An index was compiled by the archivist. In 1996 the Library acquired some papers of Greg McIntyre, the instructing solicitor in the case. The papers were lent to Keon-Cohen with the donor's permission and are now incorporated in MS 9518 (12 boxes, 14 cartons, 4 fol. boxes).

The Acc09.134 instalment comprises the Index to litigation materials: 1982-1992, compiled August 1998, and indexes to v. 1-38, 39-64, 65-73 for Mabo v. Queensland No. 1 and no. 2 (1 packet).
