Reduced facsims. of the maps in the unique 17th-cent. "Atlas des Grossen Kurfursten" in the Deutsche Staatsbibliothek, Berlin, which was presented to Friedrich Wilhelm, Elector of Brandenburg, called the Great Elector, by Johan Maurits, Prince of Nassau-Siegen.

The dedication and table of contents (2d and 3d leaves) are printed in present-day type.

Maps, except 2 anonymous ms. maps, are by J. Blaeu, F. de Wit, H. Hondius, N. Visscher, A. Colom, and others.

Leather label with title in gilt, for use on spine, inserted.
