Tankard, a choreographer and artistic director, speaks about her production Rasa for the Adelaide Festival as well as the The Deep End for the Australian Ballet, touring to America, her experiences in Adelaide as artistic director of Australian Dance Theatre, her production of Inuk, touring to the Hamburg Festival, the production of Seulle for the Barossa Festival, the role of the dance critic in Australia, the establishment of a modern dance company in Melbourne and her role in it, her efforts to take Furioso to Japan, how she came to leave the Australian Dance Theatre, her retrospective program 1998, her final American tour, Mebourne Modern Dance Company, communication with her dancers, her views on the cultural cringe, her choreography in Adelaide; and the need to be confident as an artist.
