In 1992 the Department of State Aboriginal Affairs was established. In 1997 it became the Division of State Aboriginal Affairs, within the Dept. of Environment, Heritage and Aboriginal Affairs. In February 2002 the Division was transferred to the Department of Transport, Urban Planning and the Arts and in October 2000 was renamed the Department of State Aboriginal Affairs. In May 2003, it became the Department for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation. Works by these bodies are found under the name used at the time of publication
