Letter and envelope dated 6th April, 1904 by Lewis Hooper from Kalgoorlie to his mother Polly Hooper in England. The letter describes his work on the Diamond Drill in the mines. Also an autographed photograph of L. Hooper for his mother.

Immigrant from England who came to "seek his fortune" at the Kalgoorlie gold mines. Hooper died in 1908 from typhoid fever.
