Collection of portraits and photographs relating to Sir Kenneth Bailey, his family and career. Photographs depict Sir Kenneth's school days, sporting teams, participation in WW1, scenery in England and Europe and career highlights in Australia and overseas.
- Biography/History:

Sir Kenneth Bailey was born in Melbourne in 1898. He served in the A.I.F. in France in 1918 and on returning to Australia and completing his studies was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship and studied at Oxford University. In 1928 he was appointed Dean of the Law School at Melbourne University. He became a consultant on constitutional matters and foreign affairs to the Attorney-General's Department in 1943. He was part of the Australian delegation to the U.N. in 1945 and prepared the final draft of the Charter of the United Nations. In 1946 Sir Kenneth was appointed secretary to the Attorney-General's Department and solicitor general of the Commonwealth. He was appointed the first Commonwealth Q.C. From 1964-69 he was High Commissioner to Canada.
