Dunbar speaks about his work at Normanton, Qld. as the Protector of Aboriginals and the Clerk of Petty Sessions from 1950 to 1955. His area of responsibility as Protector of Aboriginals extended from Burketown to Weipa. He also discusses the effects of the 1967 referendum and the award wage decision, and a recent visit to Normanton.
