"Uriarra Road, East Huntly, at 1145 hrs 09:01:2003. Eaten-out paddocks on Huntly along Uriarra Crossing Road carried the main thrust of the disastrous McIntyres Hut fire that burnt into Stromlo Forest and Weston Creek on 18 January 2003. Firefighting crews from the ACT Rivers and Forest Brigades were severely scorched in burn-over incidents in low-fuel areas on Huntly"--Notes from the photographer.
