(c.1951); working on Auvergne Station, W.A.; stockmen and stockmen of mixed decent; the skills of Indigenous stockmen; being head stockman and manager of stations; cattle breeds; shorthorn bull breeding; bull numbers; trapping wild cattle; culling; buck jumpers; cattle throwing; bullock riding; branding; stock feeds and fattening; water supply; drought; mustering; wood cutting; difficulties, hazards and injuries; cyclones; floods; the murder of an Indigenous tracker; the beef market and exports; the opening of Katherine Meatworks, N.T.
